Charlatte America (Fayat Group) It was in 1961 that Mr Maurice Charlatte, an aeronautical engineer, created a small company with fifteen employees manufacturing sub-contract steelwork and industrial boilers . In 1964 he patented a principal which was to revolutionize the areas of expansion, regulation, pressure boosters and surge protection. The butyl bladder was born and other patents followed. This family company became the world leader in hydro-pneumatic vessels for potable, waste and irrigating water. The Charlatte Company manufactures pressure, surge and expansion vessels for all types of water (potable, irrigation, sewage, raw water, etc.). There are even applications for certain hydrocarbon and other liquids. Sizes range from 8 to 120000 litres with service pressures up to a maximum of 100 bar. The sizing of Hydrochoc and Hydrofort vessels to ensure safe operation of pipe systems is undertaken by specialists , hydraulic engineers who can propose optimized solutions using specially developed programs. The advice of the hydraulic analysis department (which can go much further than simply sizing Charlatte vessels) ensures the operation without risk of major investments, whether this is at the start of a new installation or the rehabilitation of an unsatisfactory existing system.
